K8055 INTERFACE BOARD

Post by maravet »

Hi all. I have been using BBC Basic for more than 30 years now and BBC BASIC FOR WINDOWS remains the first line of attack when problem solving.

I have had an K8055 VELLEMAN EXPERIMENT INTERFACE BOARD for some time now but I only recently have started using it.

So can any forum users please help me to get started, I am assuming I will be able to use BBFW for INPUT/OUTPUT if not please do advise. Thanks, Martin

Hello,

I did a quick google search for that and I found this:
You may write custom Windows (98SE, 2000, Me, XP) applications in [...] or any other 32-bit Windows application development tool that supports calls to a DLL.
I know that BB4W allows you to call DLLs so it should likely be possible for you to use your interface board with BB4W.

But I don't have any experience with this specific interface board and it's probably not likely that anyone else here has it either, so you may only be able to get generic advice here.
I would suggest you look up the manuals for your interface board and read them. They should explain the DLL functions for the interface board, what they are and how to use them, etc.
This information from the bb4w manual might also be useful, specifically the "functions in other DLLs" part: http://www.rtrussell.co.uk/bbcwin/manua ... tml#introe

What help do you feel you need to get started?

DBZ FOREVER!!! !!! !!! !!!

I was completely wrong, it seems like this particular interface board has been used by several BB4W users including Richard Russell himself.
