Which BBCSDL IDE do you prefer (poll)?

Post by RichardRussell »

It would be helpful to get a feel for what proportion of BBCSDL users prefer Andy Parkes' 'BBCEdit' and how many my 'SDLIDE'. I should emphasise that I have no intention of dropping either from the BBCSDL distribution, so don't worry that your response could be used to justify that.

If you've previously selected the "Don't ask me again" option, and would like another chance to compare the two IDEs, you can restore the Choose IDE dialogue by deleting the file chooseide.dat from your @usr$ directory.

Andy's IDE looks very nice and can I even look at the source code and might change colours ect.
BBC Model B - 1984-1989. 6502 assembler, Unicomal 1988-1994, Some C and C++, Pascal 1990-1994. Bought a copy of BBC-BASIC 2007, but started to program at a daily basis 2019. C++ in 2021.

You can, of course, look at the source code of both IDEs. :)
