Retrieving Date and Time from Android

Hello - I need to write a string of data to a file and want to time-stamp it. I do not see a Date or Time function in the keywords, or any reference to that in the Wiki... Can you tell me how to do this? If there is a function to do this, will it work when running under BBCSDL2 on a PC (for testing)?
