I'd like to clarify, I was not assuming that or making any assumption of the sort. I've been careful to communicate in this thread that I recognise and acknowledge that the idea of trying to get randomness from an audio interface with no mic plugged very most likely does not work, exactly for the reasons you describe - like I said, it was just a silly experiment I did for fun years ago.
